Esencia Health Massage Therapy is just me, a one-girl band. I’m Ellie and I’m passionate about the benefits of the types of massage I practice. I’m an ITEC Level 3 trained Massage Therapist, I hold a Diploma in Advanced Deep Tissue Massage which incorporates Trigger Point Therapy. I’m accredited to carry out Pregnancy Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Oncology Massage, Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Neal's Yard Facials and CryoPen Cryotherapy Blemish Removal - an effective was to remove skin blemishes such as skin tags. I’m proud to be a Neal’s Yard Consultant, using all their lovely products for my facial treatments. I hold valid insurance and an Essex County Council Massage License. My Therapy room is in Bocking, Braintree. It has the benefit of being on the ground floor and also has free on road parking outside.

How should I pay for my treatment?
I am happy to take payment by cash or bank transfer. Payment is made directly after the treatment.
What should I expect from my first session?
Before your first session you’ll complete a consultation form. This ensures that it will be safe and beneficial for me to carry out your treatment. If you are booked in for an holistic treatment, expect to feel relaxed and happy afterwards. If it’s a deep tissue massage for you, then prepare to feel a sense of relief, but you may also feel a little light headed and some clients occasionally feel a little tender following an appointment. If it’s a facial you’ve come for, you should leave feeling relaxed and your skin should feel glowing.
Do you help treat terminal or chronic illness?
I shouldn’t use the word ‘treat’ as I’m not a medical professional. What I’m able to say is that massage helps people on many different journeys, it can physically help and even provide mental clarity and positivity.
What do I wear to a massage?
Those with long hair... it’s so helpful for me if you can tie your hair up high. It will be much more relaxing for you if I don’t have to keep pushing your hair away from the neck and back. Massage - wear big pants so I can tuck the towel in! If it’s an upper body massage - comfy trousers that I’ll be able to wriggle down to your your hips, you are also welcome to just wear pants if it’s more comfortable (you’ll be covered by a towel too) Facial - I’ll need access to your shoulders and decollate, so either a vest top or just a bra is fine (you’ll be covered by a towel too). Wear loose clothing to your appointment that is quick and easy to change into/out of.
Gents - boxer shorts or some short or loose shorts are best to wear during a full body massage or leg massage. If you visit for a back neck and shoulder massage, wear comfy trousers or shorts with an elasticated waist so I can wriggle them into position and tuck the towel in.
